Wet desulfurization uses alkaline absorption liquid (such as limestone slurry, lime water, ammonia water, etc.) to react with sulfur dioxide (SO₂) in flue gas to generate sulfite or sulfate (such as CaSO₄·2H₂O, i.e. gypsum) to achieve the purpose of desulfurization.
