★Wet Flue Gas Desulfurization (WFGD)
Wet flue gas desulfurization is the most widely used and most efficient flue gas desulfurization technology. It is mainly used to control sulfur dioxide (SO₂) emissions in flue gas and is widely used in coal-fired power plants, steel, chemical, cement and other industries.
Its working principle is to spray limestone slurry or other alkaline liquids into flue gas, and use the absorbent to react chemically with sulfur dioxide to generate neutral salts such as calcium sulfite or calcium sulfate, thereby achieving desulfurization. The most typical process is the limestone-gypsum method.
